Lufthansa has enlisted PearsonLloyd as collaborator in a new business class experience, including seat & cabin environment for the airline. The collaboration follows a string of successful projects between Lufthansa and the design studio.
The goal of the new business class seat & cabin is to set new standards of comfort by providing greater privacy – thanks to suite-like enclosures – direct aisle access, larger monitors, generous storage and lay-off spaces. In addition, the seats boast innovative digital interfaces, with facilities that enable passengers to charge their phones wirelessly. A shoulder sink-in allows passengers lying down on their side to keep their spine straight.
The new concept will be rolled out with the arrival of 777-9 from 2020 onwards.
