Polar sofa was PearsonLloyd’s first product for Tacchini, and marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with the brand. The sofa system comprises two modules in different shapes, which can be re-arranged to form a number of configurations depending on the needs of the interior space.
The angled form and varying depths and heights of the unit make it possible for users to choose a space fit for purpose; be it sitting in a group to communicate or alone in a degree of privacy. As the sofa’s name suggests, the system is inspired by the way glacier ice shifts, separates, merges and re-forms creating different shapes in the process. Designed in 2006, it is still one of the furniture manufacturer’s best selling pieces.
