Well Made take Tallinn Design Festival

Following the success of Well Made: What it Means Today at London Design Festival 2024, and Godt Lavet at 3daysofdesign 2025, we are bringing the third instalment of the exhibition to Tallinn for Tallinn Design Festival 2026.

The exhibition continues to explore the nature of making in the 21st century, inviting new voices from across Europe to respond to its central proposition: what does it mean for something to be ‘well made’ today?

The sewing machine is a tool of joining, aligning and constructing through care, precision and repetition.

These themes sit at the heart of VÆRKTØJ 3, the latest exhibition curated by jonas trampedach, Kasper Salto, Michael Antrobus, and Frederik Gustav as part of 3daysofdesign 2026.

Pearson Lloyd’s contribution, BICONE, continues our exploration of demateriality. Ordinarily, sewing machines are used to upholster an underlying form. Here, ripstop nylon and fibreglass struts create the form itself. Shown as a pendant light, BICONE is one expression of an ongoing investigation into screening, lighting and other typologies.

VÆRKTØJ 3 is on view at Gothersgade 30, Copenhagen, until 19 June, remaining open throughout 3daysofdesign and beyond.
